Ofelia Omoyele Balogun is a Dancer, Movement artist and dance backpacker as she likes to describe herself , currently at her last year of (BA)Hons Degree Diverse Dance Style validated by Roehampton University at Irie! Dance Theatre (London,UK).
As a Movement artist that focuses on African, Afro Caribbean and Western Contemporary techniques she explore a language that investigates topics like identity, perception of the self and the concept of race.
She has been dancing for Ella Mesma Company, Ballet Nimba, Irie! Dance Theatre, Union Dance and Movement Angol among the others.
She has been commissioned a solo work by Serendipity Organization (Leicester, Uk) performed at Autograph for Lets Dance International frontiers 2019 called "The Willow Tree".
She recently toured in Africa with "Mirrors" a production in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the International Cooperation about the new Italian African Diaspora and the concept of Identity.
Credits include: Britain Got Talent semi finalist 2017, British Museum, Wiz'Kid, Patoranking, Dance UK, Irie!Dance Theatre, Ballet Nimba, Bolombo Arts, African Heritage and Award-Winning Movie director Menelik Shabazz.
As Dance backpacker she keeps travelling to deepen her dance knowledge in countries like Senegal (Ecole de Sables), Cuba (Danza Contemporanea de Cuba), South Africa, Ethiopia and Italy.
